Hi all,
Christmas is looming, and new year is around the corner. I’m just getting in touch to let you know about three writing opportunities I’m offering in January.
January Write!
Get 2024 off to a start with a week of writing. I will send you a prompt on each of the first seven days of the month. The exercises are short and adaptable, and can be done in your own time. The cost is £10.
Moon Writing Workshops
The first full moon of the year is known as the Wolf Moon, and is meant to be a time for self-reflection, as well as for communicating with your ‘pack’ – both of which are excellent practices for writers. This January I will be running a series of four online creative writing workshops where we will work with the energy of the moon’s cycle. The workshops will be on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-8.30pm, which will be on the day or day before the four stages.
Third quarter – Wednesday 3rd January, 7-8.30pm
New moon – Wednesday 10th January, 7-8.30pm
First quarter – Wednesday 17th January, 7-8.30pm
Full moon – Wednesday 24th January, 7-8.30pm
The workshops will be suitable for writers of poetry or prose, as well as for beginners. The cost for the four workshops is £40/£30.
Writing Day in Hebden Bridge
My next in-person writing day at Hebden Bridge Town Hall is on Saturday 20th January. The day consists of a morning workshop and afternoon writing, ending with a sharing session. The cost is £30.
