Once having the dubious distinction of being “one of the world’s 3 major disappointments”, the Merlion is growing in popularity since they fixed the water pump in 2002 and built a new observation bridge.

(Apparently Singapore means “Lion City”, so the Merlion isn’t just a random fancy.)
