In 1969 farmhands digging a field in Mississippi discovered an unmarked shallow grave from 1835. The anonymous occupant, a lady in a red dress, had been encased in a coffin of cast iron and glass. This had then been filled with alcohol and sealed, which had preserved the body until the present day.

The mystery lady has since been reinterred in the appropriately named Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington, Mississippi.
