From Greenpeace (7 May) …
The Bermuda triangle is in an area of the Atlantic called the Sargasso Sea – the only sea without a land border. It’s a place full of wonder, home to marine life like turtles and whales and a nursery for many more incredible creatures and the legendary golden floating rainforest (watch the video).
Unfortunately, industrial fishing, plastic pollution and rapidly warming ocean temperatures are threatening this unique habitat. But we can protect it. Together we’ve campaigned for a Global Ocean Treaty and for the ocean sanctuaries it can help create. The Sargasso Sea could be the very first one all thanks to people like you taking action.
