A judge in the US state of Michigan was surprised [to say the least] when a defendant appeared for his remote court hearing while behind the wheel. 

Corey Harris, charged with driving on a suspended license, joined the call from a moving car. Watch the video – and die laughing!

The judge [Hon. J Cedric Simpson] waits patiently for the defendant to bring his car to rest outside his doctor’s surgery. There ensues an exchange to rival a John Cleese sketch between the judge and the defendant’s lawyer […”That is correct, Your Honor”], the judge remarking “I don’t even know why he would do that!”

An implied plea of insanity, perhaps?
