Here’s the view in 1967 of home computers in the bedroom. Think of the compulsory telephone by the bedside of the driven. Only it’s not a telephone but a teleprinter, acting as a terminal to a distant mainframe.

Having shared an office with one of these things, it would not be particularly conducive to a good night’s sleep.
