I am 100% behind this idea of putting a biodiversity bank on the Moon. The way I see it, the worst-case scenario is that some alien species finds a weird trove long after we’ve wiped our own from the known universe. What have we got to lose?

Hmm. At first sight it’s a brilliant idea from Science.org. But if (when?) things get really bad on Earth and people fall to warring over its dwindling resources, we may all lose our capacity to get to the Moon. (As the article admits.)
