Now and again I find snippets of text on my computer, dated way back, which I have no recollection of ever having written. Maybe I didn’t, but just copied down a quotation. Here’s one I discovered today…

All the best fantasy is shared fantasy. And there’s really only one to share it with.
Some people don’t believe they’ve got a soul. Others think it’s a wispy image of themselves that will live on – but perhaps not in a happy state. That’s sad.
But those who’ve been there know it’s a land you can explore. If you explore it on your own (…dangerous!) you can meet people there. Some of those people are no longer alive. And some of them never have been. But they might pop up in your life one day.
The land of the Soul is best explored with someone dear. But legal and social demands plus daily cares can lock you out of it. Then you need the key to get back in. And, as in The Flying Trunk, you can spend the rest of your life looking for it.
