A Lewis Carroll Centre has been established in All Saints’ Church, Daresbury, England, birthplace of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, poet and author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Stained glass windows in the church depict characters from his books, plus Charles Dodgson himself (a clergyman, based at Christ Church College, Oxford) with his literary muse, Alice Pleasance Liddell.
Another lesser-known Lewis Carroll shrine, with books of Dodgson’s photographs and cabinets of “Wonderland” curios, is La Rosa Hotel (our venue for meetings) where Charles Dodgson used to spend vacations.
