Wesson’s Favour, a gripping murder mystery by debut author Roy Whitley, writing as Walter Court, was published on Kindle by Endeavour Press on 28 September 2017, and in paperback edition on 9 October 2017.
The novel is a police procedural, set in Leeds and West Yorkshire in 1966, which sees the violent and brutal murder of prostitute Maria Kinnon. There follows the story of a murder investigation, along with the effects it had on the lives of those caught up in the many twists and turns along the way. It is the story of Police Sergeant Charlie Wesson, who, despite his attempts to withdraw from the cut and thrust of policing an inner city area, becomes reluctantly drawn into playing a major role in the hunt for the killer.
