Like feral swine despoiling earth
besmirching what we cannot plunder
we flaunt our greed with horrid mirth
while tearing ancient groves asunder.

We glut on more than human need
we roar to see the forest burning
till typhoons quench our wanton greed
to heed exhausted oceans’ yearning.

Then shall the reckoning delayed
repay with rich and lasting treasure
whilst humbling our monstrous pride
with deeds no oil or coal can measure.
