I sit here in my armchair,
mug of tea in hand,
and work my way
gently into the day.
I scroll through
messages on my phone,
they make me feel warm,
give me a glow,
which I can carry
through the rest of my day.
So I open the window,
recline my chair,
listen to the gulls,
reflect.
The rest of the day
can wait until
a little bit later.
