The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is Whitby Writers Group celebrating 10 years of members’ poetry and prose published under its own non-profit imprints, notably Undead Tree Publications. In an atmosphere of jolly chaos at the exciting Alice-themed La Rosa Hotel in East Terrace, West Cliff, Whitby on Wednesday 11 September 2019 at 2-4 PM, an impromptu bookshop-cum-tea-party will display books for sale by members past and present, including two popular anthologies of poems and stories in a Whitby frame-of-mind.
Featured authors will read aloud selected poems and story-extracts from the books on display. Copies will be sold in aid of Freedom From Torture, Help For Heroes and Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Guests will have the opportunity to browse the books at their tables over afternoon tea, reserve them and buy them at the end. Admission is free and all are welcome.
