Matters Arising
Adele — submitted this report on the meeting:
I woke this morning to a carpet of snow outside and a raging snow blizzard for the next couple of hours, confirming my view that I shouldn’t try to drive up or down Carr Hill Lane and thus I endeavoured to set out and enjoy a lovely snowy walk to Whitby instead.
With snow filled skies turning to the moodiest horizon view along the coastline, I reached La Rosa to be met by WWG member John Ogden and subsequently welcomed with hot tea and coffee for the writing group, by the staff.
We chatted and waited, and waited, and no one else arrived. Settling down to chat, John and I marvelled at the improving view with sunshine appearing from the clutches of the grim reaper skies of our arrival. We enjoyed several coffees and discussed our writing projects, pros and cons of publishing, life, research, time, and the longevity and prospects of what earth will look like in future generations, leaving us both with the positive outlook that we have hope, (and the facts that in 2023 the population of China did not increase and neither did the purchase of smart phones), relying on the belief that genug is enough and more is too much.
The meeting closed at 12:45 PM.
